Intercooler Upgrade
Late model Ford vehicles, in fact the entire EcoBoost model range suffer severely in the Australian climate due to excessive charge air temperatures. Vehicles will run in compensation as low as 44C, which we find to be even casuually crusing at 80km/h or less, with dyno tests exceeding 80C, with repeated tests even higher. This is further inhibited by poorly desinged bullbars and accesories such as light bars, winches, even ariels have an effect. An upgraded intercooler drastically improves cooling efficiency by up to 30%, providing more consistent performance and better temperature control during towing, off-road use, and high ambient conditions. Our unit makes better use of the factor compensations for the temperature points at which the vehicle begins to compensate fuel and boost control for charge air, and does so without inhibiting coolant temperatures. This is essential for improved heat management on tuned Ford Ranger BiTurbo cars, and provides longer, more consistent performance.
