Oil Bypass Filtration Systems

Factory full-flow oil filters typically only filter to around 20 microns. The problem is that the real engine wear occurs between 2 and 20 microns — particles small enough to pass straight through the factory filtration system and continue circulating through the engine oil. Oil bypass filtration systems work alongside the factory oil filter by continuously filtering a small portion of engine oil through a supllementary (bypass) filter capable of filtering down to 2 microns. This allows the bypass filter to remove the particles that actually cause abrasive wear and long-term engine damage.
The majority of abrasive engine wear occurs between 2 and 20 microns — a range that standard factory oil filters cannot effectively capture. Oil bypass filtration systems work alongside the factory full-flow filter by continuously filtering a controlled portion of engine oil through an ultra-fine secondary filtration system capable of filtering down to 2 microns. This allows the bypass filter to remove the particles that actually cause long-term abrasive wear inside the engine and lubrication system.
As the bypass filter continuously cleans a portion of the oil during engine operation, the overall oil and lubrication system gradually becomes significantly cleaner over time.
